Art DVD's

Two DVD's that I recently purchased are amazing. Both of them have clear instructions and are packed with valuable information. I was amazed by the time and energy that these artists have devoted to their discoveries. That said, they are so willing to share their information with everyone. Both cover safety issues throughout the instruction and "Encaustic + Paper"  devotes an entire segment to safety which is excellent.

Must see these DVD's:

"Vibrant Color - Combining Soy Wax and Dye for Brilliant Results" by Jane Dunnewold & Lisa Kerpoe.
This information is on the Art Cloth Studios website, where the DVD is available for purchase:
"Got soy wax? Got dye? Learn how to combine them to produce fabulous results. Join Jane Dunnewold and Lisa Kerpoe as they explore three exciting new techniques - including dye crayons perfect for rubbings, drawing and writing; hot, colored wax - ideal for stamping and direct applications and wax paste, perfect for stenciling. In this entertaining presentation, they will share everything you need to know to produce gorgeous fabrics – including the basic supplies, application techniques, applying background color, setting the dye and the final washout."

Encaustic + Paper - Wendy Aikin, Judy Stabile, Daniella Woolf of Wax Works West.  See all the encaustic products available and workshop info on the Wax Works West website.

This information about the DVD is on the website:
"The Women of Wax Works West demonstrate techniques using wax on paper with skill, proficiency, and humor. This instructive DVD is inspirational for beginners as well as seasoned artists. We're talking about mixed media beyond your wildest dreams!"

Here are the individual artist's websites. You need to see their intriguing and stunning work. There is a great deal of information and wonderful images of their work on these websites. Presently, Judy's is under construction, so I look forward to seeing hers upon completion.
