Wallpaper* and Barbican are holding a animation competition and have whittled the contenders down to 6. Your vote will choose the final winner. The competition, Watch Me Move: The Animation Show will run till September 11 with a special screening at Barbican September 8th. I love Betty by Jessica Wainwright, not only for the narrative but the subtle effects and the giant cuppa!

Just a follow up on the Cam & Maggie paper crafts. Working with Fashion Buddha for their project Cam & Maggie, I got to create the four characters that users can download for free. The original artwork was illustrated by the talented Mr. Alberto Cerriteño and then turned into puppets to create a series of short video's for Intel around the concept of Context-Aware Computing. The video's are awesome and I just love the life size puppets too! They are so cute and look great on my desk.

So this weekend, I officiated my first wedding! It was a small Hawaiian style wedding just outside of Seattle, WA. It was simple and beautiful. The mother of the bride happen to be a crafty lady (she's below) and made these wonderful beaded bracelets, they are so intricate in design.

The next day we visited Pike's Place Market. What a great place to hang out for the day, but a little fishy smelling and busy, which can make a hang over harder to deal with. My favorite things were the flower stands, fishmonger and the beautiful peppers. There were lots of street musicians and art vendors. Definitely a place to see.

The Wilderness Downtown is an interactive film written and directed by Chris Milk as part of a data-driven Chrome Experiment using html5 video, audio and canvas. Played to the song of "We used to wait" by Arcade Fire using the browser Google Chrome and google maps. You become part of the story when you enter your own childhood address. In the end you write a postcard to yourself and send out. It was cool seeing my home in the video and I loved the type that's used to create the postcard, which btw you can share. Very inspirational.
