The work of Andy Hixon an UK illustrator, designer, sculpture and animator really amazes me. His eerie yet beautiful sculptures draw me into a world that is unique of it's own. When you see them juxtaposed into real world settings, the effect is stirring. Check out more of his work here or visit his blog.

This video for the band Woven, is pretty sweet.

The illustration style of Aurore de La Morinerie is lovely. The combination of water color, ink and wash painting captures her subjects in a unique and simple light. The natural strokes of color offset by contrasting shades and white space make her designs simple, yet sophisticate.  You can see her work in fashion houses like Hermès and Issey Miyake. Check out her blog as well.

This month, GOOD is partnering with Cole Haan to ask you to "Doodle Something Good in the World."

the OBJECTIVE
Create a doodle that tells about a person, group, object, or idea that you think makes the world better, and why.

the ASSIGNMENT
The doodle can be as broad or as specific as you wish. It can be about a personal friend of yours who's doing something unusual and awesome, an company that's finding new ways to do business while doing good, or something much more abstract. It's a pretty broad prompt, so choose something unique and unexpected.

GOOD's editorial department, and Mr. Haan, and will pick the top three best submissions. All three winners will receive a GOOD T-Shirt and a Cole Haan gift certificate ($500 for first prize, $250 for second, and $100 for third). Check it out

The work of Gemma Correll really brings a smile to my face, perfect with my morning cuppa. She's a freelance illustrator, writer and maker of stuff from Norwich. Her work contains lots of animals, (maybe inspired by her side kick Mr Norman Pickles the Pug) but also lot's of other quirky stuff. It's all a little humorous and fun. Check out her etsy shop and blog.
