More Aquaman redesigns

Monday, February 28, 2011

Project Rooftop posted the winners in its Aquaman redesign contest. Many of them aren't much more than (nicely drawn) trivial twists on Aquaman's established looks. But these are my favorites. If I saw these looks on a comic I'd be optimistic that the story might be fresh:

B. T. Pannell.

Nate Bellegarde.

Yasmin Liang.

And this redesign by Chris King (which I previously posted) is still my favorite:

Spotted at Project Rooftop, and speaking of, here's a sweet Aquaman redesign by Chris King for the current PR contest:

1. The far less than honorable details of Winston Churchill's early life.

2. Penelope Trunk: "Believe me, no one likes to read blog posts about people who are smug about how they have solved all the problems of the world. I mean, look, you either are winning a Nobel Prize or you do not have any answers."

3. The latest adorable comic strip by Chris and Curt features the history of Aquaman.
